Inspiring quote of the day: “If you seek nothing but the Will of GOD, He will always put you in the right place at the right time.” – Smith Wigglesworth British Evangelist (AZ Quotes)
Previously in Part 1 and Part 2 of this multipart series on Steven La Russa’s near-death experience, Steven’s ordeal began in a Lake Tahoe [US] hotel room, when his left-side tingling and numbness intensified into severe pain, and he told his wife, Wanda, “I think I’m dying.” As he prayed, Steven says he and Wanda began communicating telepathically, and he heard GOD’s voice confront him about the spiritual calling he had been avoiding. Then, as nothing worked, Steven saw himself in complete darkness, traveling through space and eventually moving toward the white Light. Wanda told him, “We’re transcending,” and Steven believed they might be dying together. But when the pain spread, and he began to give in, something in him said: “Wanda, help me.”
So, when I said, “Wanda, help me,” she sat up in the bed, and she began speaking in tongues. My wife and I have been together for 25 years. I’ve heard her speak in tongues, I believe, twice before in 25 years. This is the third and last time I heard GOD’s voice during this incident. And He said to me, “Steven, be quiet and listen to your wife.” Once I heard that, a calmness came over me. I was able to focus. I was able to listen. I looked over at her, and here’s the part that blows my mind — she started speaking fluently in an African language. Now, I don’t know [any] African language. I’ve never studied it. I only speak English. My wife, I’ve known her for 25 years, she doesn’t know any other language other than English. But I know [an] African language when you hear it. You know it, but you don’t know what it means. So she’s speaking an African language, and she’s chanting and speaking, and I’m like, “Oh my GOD, what is going on here? This is impossible. This can’t be; there’s no way.” She stopped in that particular African language and spoke another language, chanting, still [an] African language, but I could tell it was from a different form. It was a different African language, chanting and, I believe, praying. I don’t know what she was saying. She actually spoke three separate African languages and chanted. Then she transitioned from those three languages, chanting and, I assume, praying. She spoke in an Indian language. She started speaking an Indian language and chanting, and I believe, like I said, praying. And as soon as she did that, that is when everything lifted off me. I had been praying, I had been begging, I called on Jesus. Nothing was helping. I was steadily going to the Light, and I could feel my soul fading, and I could feel I was getting closer to death. The thing about it was, I did not come out of that until after my wife started praying and chanting in these other languages. That’s when everything was lifted off of me.
When it was all over, Steven looked over and saw Wanda sitting upright, her eyes wide open and glazed over, as if she were in a trance. She appeared disoriented and initially had no memory of what she had done. When Steven told her she had spoken in three African languages and one Indian language, she simply replied: “It wasn’t even me. It couldn’t have been me, because I don’t know any other languages.”
In Part 4, Steven looks back at the strange lights they saw earlier that night — and begins to understand why they may have appeared before everything happened. I was told, and I had this downloaded — Divine download, Divine information. Join us tomorrow for Part 4 of this multipart series on Steven La Russa’s near-death experience.
